Scholarships

Lake States TAPPI (LST) is dedicated to furthering the development of talented, technical people in the paper industry. To help achieve that outcome LST makes annual contributions to the Paper Science Foundation of the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point (UW-SP) ($3000), Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC) ($2500), Paper Science Dept. of the University of Minnesota ($3000), and Trees for Tomorrow ($1200). These moneys are used for scholarship awards and student expenses to cover technical meetings. As a result, LST contributions have accumulated endowment funds of $210,842 (6/30/08) at UW-SP and $58,056 (6/30/08) at FVTC. LST plans to continue to add more money to these funds.
